Big Game Fishing in the Azores: Face the Giants of the Atlantic!
Welcome to the world's big game paradise! The Azores are not just islands with stunning volcanic landscapes; they are also one of the top ten big game fishing destinations on the planet. If you're looking for the pure adrenaline of an epic battle against the biggest and most powerful fish in the ocean, embark with us on this unforgettable adventure.
Why the Azores? The Magic of the Gulf Stream
The key to our abundance lies in the archipelago's strategic location, bathed by the warm Gulf Stream. This marine highway attracts schools of forage fish (such as squid and mackerel) which, in turn, bring large predators to our deep blue waters.
Fishing for large specimens, such as swordfish or tuna, is an exciting and unforgettable experience. The adrenaline is constant as the fight with the fish unfolds, potentially lasting for hours of pure thrill. After the catch, the desire to repeat the experience becomes almost addictive, and the feeling of accomplishment in capturing a fish of that size is something that will remain etched in your memory. For this adventure, we used the Trolling Method, mostly with artificial samples, with the option of using live bait as well, dead or alive.

Our Trophy Catches
The peak season typically extends from April to November, when the water temperature is ideal for tuna.
The tuna fishing begins in March/April and can last up to November, with fluctuations throughout the year, as this species follows seasonal patterns of presence and absence. In years of high abundance, tuna can be found closer to the coast, providing an even more exciting fishing experience.
